Frequently Asked Questions
Our training philosophy is built on leadership, structure, and clear communication, not on endless treats or harsh corrections. We focus on addressing the root cause of behavior—the dog’s state of mind—and empowering you, the owner, with the skills to be a confident and effective leader. We don’t just train your dog; we coach you on how to build a better relationship with them.
Because every dog is an individual and long-term success depends heavily on the owner’s commitment to consistency, we do not offer a blanket “guarantee.” However, we do guarantee that we will provide you with the highest level of professional coaching, a proven training system, and our unwavering support. Our reputation is built on life-changing results, and we are fully committed to helping you achieve your goals.
We use a variety of professional training tools, always chosen based on the individual dog’s needs and temperament. This mainly includes the Wonder Lead and E-collars (remote collars). These tools are used to communicate clearly and fairly with the dog, never to cause pain or fear. A significant part of our program is teaching you how to use these tools correctly, safely, and effectively.
Our training will not change your dog’s core personality, but it will absolutely change their behavior for the better. A well-trained dog is not a robot; they are a dog that is calmer, more confident, and less stressed because they understand the rules and look to their owner for guidance. Our clients often tell us their dog seems happier and more relaxed after training.
Our primary commitment is to the safety of all dogs in our care. For this reason, we prioritize boarding for our past and current training clients. All dogs boarding with us must be up-to-date on vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella) and must have a stable, non-aggressive temperament. We are not equipped to board dogs with severe separation anxiety or human/dog reactivity who are not enrolled in a training program.
Please bring your dog’s food, portioned out for their stay, to avoid any dietary upset. We do not allow outside toys, or blankets. The possibility of contamination is to high.
All dogs receive multiple opportunities for exercise and potty breaks throughout the day. Should you wish your dog to socialize this will depend on your dogs demeanor and what other dogs are in the kennel. If we find a good group of dogs we enjoy allowing them to socialize.
Our farm and training facility is located in Bainbridge, Indiana. We find that the rural, open environment is ideal for focused training away from the distractions of a busy city.
Every new client relationship starts with a conversation. Whether you are interested in training or boarding, the first step is to call us for a free, no-obligation consultation. This allows us to understand your needs, answer your questions, and ensure we are the right fit for you and your dog.
